Believing Healthy Academy may from time to time collect, hold, and process personal information (for the purposes stated below).

Why is the information needed and how is it used?

  • This information is needed for insurance purposes and it is essential to know who attended the sessions.
  • The information may also be used to allow you to be contacted about new courses available.
  • To ensure that the classes provided are appropriate for you and your baby. 
  • To provide you with booking information
  • For Internal and External Quality Assurance

Who do we share our data with:

It will not share this information with 3rd parties or any other party that is not relevant to the services provided by Believing Healthy Academy. Exemptions to this policy under the Data Protection Act, 1998 (DPA, 98), may apply. 

The sharing of data is limited to:-

  • Within Believing Healthy Academy Limited on a need to know basis. 
  • Happity – Booking contractor to take the initial information for your booking. 
  • Mailchimp for marking and newsletter purposes – please note you can unsubscribe at any time.

Where do we store data?

  • Data relating to enquiries and all teaching/ assessing and qualifications is stored on our servers.
  • Any other data is stored on our secure server for the duration of your qualification.

How long do we hold the information

We are obliged to keep information relating to the teaching sessions by our insurer for seven years, this information will include:

  • Your name, contact email and number
  • Your babies name and age
  • The date you attended
  • Course paperwork

All other information can be removed from the system at your request to: believinghealthyacademy@gmail.com

After seven years your data will be removed from the system, unless you continue to sign up for the newsletter, via our MailChimp, in which you can manually unsubscribe from through the latest email.

Taking part in surveys

From time to time Believing Healthy Academy may conduct surveys for example; in order to gauge customer satisfaction. The results of these surveys will be for Believing Healthy Academy’s business administration purposes only and will not be shared with any other party.

Complaints

Believing Healthy Academy strives to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, it takes any complaints that are received about this very seriously.

Believing Healthy Academy encourages people to bring any concerns to its attention if they think that the collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate.

Disclosure of personal information

Individuals can find out if Believing Healthy Academy holds any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ as applicable under the DPA, 98 which we support. If information is held about you it will:

  • give you a description of the information;
  • tell you why To Baby and Beyond is holding it;
  • tell you who it may be disclosed to; and
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

If you wish to make a request to Believing Healthy Academy for any personal information we may hold, you will need to contact us on: believinghealthyacademy@gmail.com and put the request in writing.

If you agree and once identification has been confirmed (in-line with the DPA, 98) Believing Healthy Academy will try to deal with your request informally, for example by providing you with the specific information you need over the telephone.

If Believing Healthy Academy holds information about you, you can ask us to correct any mistakes by, once again on believinghealthyacademy@gmail.com
